Additionally, actions like plucking Tulsi leaves, saying harsh words, consuming alcohol, and consuming Tamsik food are prohibited during this festival. Other rituals are taking a bath in the morning to rid oneself of impurities, placing Lord Vishnu's idol at the place of worship inside your home, and offering him garlands, flowers, and sweets. In the evening, one must perform the Ekadashi puja again by reciting Ekadashi Katha and Vishnu Sahasranaam. After doing the aarti, one can break the fast by eating Sattvik food.
