General election observer, Manmeet Kaur Nanda, and police observer, JP Singh, were also present in the review meeting, in which matters related to EVM machines, election staff deployment, the appointment of micro-observers, peaceful polling and webcasting of the election were discussed. Nanda also said strict action should be taken against anyone violating the model code of conduct. Proceedings on TV channels should also be recorded and violations noticed must be made known to the candidate, she added.
