On Monday, the municipal commissioner had recommended the termination of Malti Yadav because her son Ram Vriksha Yadav ( former corporator) had misbehaved with the zonal officer and city engineer.

The Municipal commissioner had also recommended suspension of another corporator RP Singh for a similar reason.

BJP corporator Ramesh Kapoor Baba said that the municipal commissioner was acting autocratically by recommending suspension of corporators and the Bharatiya Janata Party would oppose the undemocratic step. He said that the party corporators would meet the mayor to press their point in the matter because Malti Yadav was not even present on the occasion. Besides, how could anyone be punished for the deed of a family member, he questioned.
