“Revenge will be taken on parties which have got me framed in this case,” the MLA told reporters before entering the Banda district jail on 14 days’ judicial remand on Thursday night.

The 17-year-old girl who was allegedly raped by the MLA and three of his associates on December 11 and 12, told mediapersons on Friday that her life was under threat from the MLA and his supporters.

“The jail authorities should provide me with security inside the jail as the MLA has threatened me and my family,” she said.

The victim reiterated that Dwivedi and his associates had raped her at the MLA’s house. “I escaped from the house when he tried to rape me again.”

The victim is currently in jail after the MLA complained to the police that she has stolen a mobile phone and Rs 5,000 from his residence.

The National Commission for Scheduled Castes has asked the state and the Banda district officers to release the victim from jail immediately.
