Addressing senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh volunteers on the last day of the four-day introspection session in Kanpur late on Tuesday night, Bhagwat pacified the volunteers who seemed agitated over the BJP move to give party tickets to newly inducted candidates and ignoring the claim of committed and old party members.

“Often the situation and the need of time influence the decisions. Lessons should be taken for future,” Bhagwat told volunteers while urging them to: “Forget the mistakes and forgive the BJP.”

Members of Hind Mazdoor Sangthan raised the issue of their helplessness in opposing the union government for some of its policies which were not in the interest of the working classes.

However, the RSS chief advised them to go amidst the working classes and tell them about government’s bigger welfare plans in store for them.

Bhagwat urged volunteers to strengthen the organisation by donating at least an hour to the RSS.

He stressed on the need of involving youths, dalits, backward classes, weaker sections of the society, ex-army men, professionals, engineers and doctors in larger number in the nation building agenda and to raise the number of Sangh workers.
