Though the UP Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL) has been ready with proposal for weeks it has not been able to submit the same to the UP Electricity Regulatory Commission.

The reason: the UPPCL officials have not yet got an appointment from the CM Akhilesh Yadav, who is supposed to take a look at the proposal.

The proposal seeks hefty tariff hike for consumers as industrial and commercial consumers were made to face tariff hike in 2012.
