Speaking at the UP Development Conclave, he said: "The world is in transformation, it is changing and the world market is growing. Today, it does not matter much where one is born. Historical or geographical divisions are increasingly becoming irrelevant. The power of knowledge and the power of technology are what matter now."
To make a point, Chaddha quoted Thomas Friedman from 'The World is Flat'.
"In the book that views the world as a level-playing field, the author enumerates three different eras of competition. The first era of competition was when countries competed amongst each other; in the second era business corporations competed amongst each other, and now we are in the third era wherein individuals compete against each other across the world."
