Angry with her ex-boyfriend for ignoring her, a 25-year-old woman threw acid on him in Goregaon (West) on Thursday evening. The victim has been admitted to a hospital and is recovering.

Omsingh Solanki, 26, and Meera Sharma were in a relationship around four years ago. But Solanki broke up with Sharma recently. The police said that the break-up did not go down well with Sharma.
“She used to call him but he would not take her calls so she decided to take revenge,” said an officer from Goregaon police station.
Solanki, who works as a salesman at a store in MG Road in Goregaon West, was at work when Sharma showed up at outside his shop. She then started yelling and threw some acid that she was carrying in a bottle at him.
“Solanki sustained burn injuries on his face and arm. Sharma was nabbed by people present at the spot,” said the officer. He was taken to a hospital and Sharma to the police station.
