The buses for Gorai depot, Oshiwara depot, Mulund station (West) and Kopar Khairane will leave from Dadar station east at 1.45am, 2.25am, 2.30am and 4.00am, respectively. Passengers can enjoy these services on routes 202 (limited), 4 (limited), 302 and 501 (limited) from December 1.

Suburban services in Mumbai remain suspended for 3-4 hours after the last train, which generally depart before 1am. The commuters face a lot of troubles if they miss the trains. In a majority of cases, they are forced to take taxis or autorickshaws, spending extra.

BEST spokesperson said these services are apart from the existing late night services. “BEST decided to introduce these services taking the trouble faced by commuters into account,” said Hanumant Gophane, public relations officer of BEST.

BEST is also introducing three new services -- A70 Fast, AS 458 and AS 503 -- between Mantralaya and Mira Road station east, Mulund Depot-Charkop via Ghodbandar road and Wadala-Kalamboli, respectively.

The undertaking, however, will cancel the operations on two air-conditioned bus routes -- AS 71 and AS 514. The services are operated between Mahim-Mira Road and Mulund east and Mind space Airoli, respectively. Six routes passing through Priyadarshani chowk has been diverted.
