Four call centre staff hurt after truck hit car in Thane
It was the passers-by and locals who pulled the injured out of the car and alerted police about the incident
Four call centre employees were injured after a rolled iron sheet fell on the car in which they were travelling home on Friday morning. A case has been registered against trailer driver at Kolshewadi police station under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and Motor Vehicle Act. Police said the driver fled the spot instead of helping the injured. They have launched a manhunt to arrest the driver.

Police said the accident took place on Friday morning while the car was on its way to drop the employees home. The trailer hit the car at Suchak naka, after which the rolled iron sheet fell on it.
It was the passers-by and locals who pulled the injured out of the car and alerted police about the incident. The car driver escaped unhurt.
An officer from Kolshewadi police station said, “We have recorded statement of car driver Dinesh Deshmukh. We are tracking the container owner through its RTO registration.”
Senior inspector Kavi Gavit from Kolshewadi police station said the container driver, who is on the run, was driving rashly.
“The iron sheet fell on the car the moment container crashed into. All the injured were rushed to a private hospital in Dombivli. We are on the lookout for the container driver,” he added.
