Industrial building gutted in Goregaon

Fire broke out at an industrial building at Wabutt Road in Goregaon east on Monday morning.

According to the fire brigade control room, the first floor of the two-storey Cama Industrial Estate, which also has a garment company, caught fire around 5.30am . The fire brigade sent five fire engines, four water tankers and one ambulance.

According to officials, the fire is under control at present and no injuries have been reported . The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. The fire spread in the basement of the building and confined itself to the garments, furniture, electrical wiring and installation and office records.

Firemen could take control of the fire only around 9.30am.
