Mumbai metro’s new app to give commuters offers, discounts on rides

Reliance Infrastructure Ltd-led Mumbai Metro One Pvt Ltd. (MMOPL) on Wednesday announced that it revamped its mobile application, which will now offer a variety of offers and discounts to commuters.

MMOPL officials said that the number of offers and discounts they are offering is so wide that the commuters, by availing them, will save to the extent that the metro rides will become “almost free” for them.

The offers will be available to metro smart card holders – both the store value cards and trip based cards—from Thursday, which also marks the third anniversary of the metro operations.

The ‘Mumbai Metro App’, which is currently used by around 35,000 people, will offer discounts across categories ranging from dining to apparels to pharmacy. “We are happy to announce a wide range of products and services at discounts and unique offers for our commuters,” a Mumbai Metro One spokesperson said.
