Mumbai woman jumps into Powai lake, security guard pulls her out

The presence of mind of a security guard helped rescue a woman who jumped into Powai lake.

The incident took place at 10.25am on Thursday when the security manager of the lake, Imtiyaz Shaikh, was on patrolling duty.

Suddenly, they saw a woman jump into the lake. Shaikh jumped into the water and pulled her out.

The woman, who was unconscious, was handed over to the police.

“The woman was alive when I pulled her out,” said Shaikh.

The police are now finding out the reason why the woman took such an extreme step.
