Mumbai city news: Flooding was reported from various areas in the suburbs on Sunday morning.
After deficient rain all of last week, Mumbai received overnight rain with 37mm recorded between Saturday night and Sunday morning at the Santacruz weather station. The rain continued in the morning, with flooding disrupting road and rail traffic.
The Colaba weather station, however, received only 5mm overnight rain, but flooding was reported from various areas in the suburbs on Sunday morning.
