While Wadali approached the court on Thursday for pre-arrest bail, he was arrested before his plea could be heard.

According to the complaint, the incident took place on Wednesday around 5am, when Wadali was at a birthday party in Goregaon (West). The complainant, a 39-year-old woman, was also at the party. The woman claimed Wadali allegedly abused her while singing a song. She said he pulled the collar of her top and molested her. The police said the woman had asked him to sing a song, but the singer claimed “the woman was very drunk and not in her senses”.

He also said “she was constantly abusing him and threatening him.”
