4-year-old girl dies after gate falls on her at Bhiwandi

BHIWANDI: A four-year-old girl died after an iron gate fell on her when she was playing near it at Bhiwandi.

BHIWANDI: A four-year-old girl died after an iron gate fell on her when she was playing near it at Bhiwandi.

The girl, Falak Sonu Ansari, is a resident of Bhiwandi and she studies in Bhiwandi base primary school.

Falak was playing near the gate of the ACP office at Rameshwar temple in Bhiwandi on Tuesday evening. A few of her friends from the same area also joined her. After some time, her friends left and then Falak started playing with the gate, said sources.

“While Falak was playing, the bolts in the gate got loose and then the gate came crashing down on her. She sustained multiple deep injuries on her body,” said Dinesh Katke, senior police inspector, Bhiwandi police station. The locals along with her family members took her to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead. Later the police were informed about it and a case of accidental death was registered after investigation.
