On the concluding day of its state executive meeting in Pune on Sunday, the party said local units would take a call on the alliance. However, according to sources, the idea is to put the ball in the Sena’s court and avoid fights ahead of elections. This, however, does not mean the party will ally with the Sena in Mumbai, said BJP leaders.
Meanwhile, at the state executive meeting, top leaders like Nitin Gadkari and CM Devendra Fadnavis reminded leaders to work for the party and not for the perks it brings.
The state BJP also urged the Fadnavis government to publish a white paper on allotment of all government land in the past 15 years, to counter the attack of the opposition — Congress and NCP — against its leaders.
The demand at the BJP state executive meeting came a day after chief minister Devendra Fadnavis asked BJP workers to look for all cases of corruption involving the Congress and NCP leaders and file police complaints.
