Teachers will have to ensure that students list out realistic college choices based on their marks and order of preference.

“This year, we only had refresher courses for guidance centre staff, but from next year, we will have training for regular teachers, especially for form filling procedure,” said Vinod Tawde, state education minister.

Out of 2.2 lakh FYJC aspirants this year, 1.53 lakh took admissions in the seats allotted to them in the online process.

More than 70,000 students did not claim the allotted seats as they were unhappy because they did not get their preferred colleges. Besides, they were also inconvenienced while filling the option form, which required them to enlist minimum 35 college preferences.
