Around 39,994 students passed the exams, out of the 1.43 lakh who appeared for them across the state. This includes 6,997 students passing from the Mumbai division, among 34,436 who took the exam. The success rate for Mumbai improved by 2.4% — from 17.84% last year to 20.32% this year.
The state’s education department will conduct a separate round of online admissions for these students after September 2, when the final round for regular candidates concludes. The move will ensure that students don’t miss out on too many classes. “It’s good that the department allowed admissions on online results for these students, we will now be able to immediately start their admission round,” said R Ahire, assistant deputy director of education, Mumbai region.
