100% water cut in central, eastern Mumbai on Tuesday

Large parts of the eastern and central parts of Mumbai will reel under a 100% water cut that the civiv body plans to impose on Tuesday. HT reports.

Large parts of the eastern and central parts of Mumbai will reel under a 100% water cut that the civiv body plans to impose on Tuesday.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) plans to take up the work on the newly installed Tansa water main pipeline at Suman Nagar, on the Eastern express highway.

As a result, the BMC will impose a total cut on the water supply to some areas, from 10am on Tuesday to 4am on Wednesday.

These areas include Vatsalatai Naik nagar in Chembur, Eastern parts of Sion, Matunga & Dadar, Parel, Lalbaugh, Kalachowki, along with parts of Chinchpokli and Dr BA Road.

Some areas will get water supply with reduced pressure, namely Kurla(E), MG Road and Rajawadi in Ghatkopar(E), Tilak Nagar and Chedda Nagar in Chembur, the BDD chawls in Worli.
