Kehinde Rotine (20), admitted to JJ Hospital for the past one week, passed out two of the three capsules he had swallowed after ANC officials arrested him. Sunil Paraskar, deputy commissioner of police (ANC), said they set up a trap outside Jehangir Art gallery on January 28 and intercepted Nigerians with capsules containing cocaine. To evade arrest and destroy evidence, Rotine swallowed some capsules.
Medical Superintendent of JJ Hospital H.H. Jadhav said: “Rotine was served food and aerated drinks so that he passes out the capsules. On Thursday, ANC officials seized two capsules that he passed out.”
“We have sent the capsules to Kalina forensic laboratory for a chemical analysis and to know how much cocaine was packed inside the capsules,” said Paraskar.
According to ANC sources, cocaine inside each capsule might be 5 gm.
