The victim, Sanjay Bhobate, stays in the MHADA Colony at Andheri.

Bhobate was waiting for a bus at Aarey Check Naka when the accused, who were in a Mahindra Logan, offered him a lift.

After Bhobate got into the car, the accused started assaulting him.

“They robbed a camera, a wrist- watch, two mobile batteries and Rs 800 from him,” said Senior Inspector Anil Bhise of the Goregaon East police station.

The accused even stopped on the way and used Bhobate’s Axis and ICICI bank debit cards to withdraw Rs 28,000, said the police.

The four accused left Bhobate near the Vakola Telephone Exchange.

“We are searching for the four miscreants. The police are trying to trace the car as the number is yet unknown,” added Bhise.
