Cidco had started construction on a project comprising 1,224 houses for middle-income and high-income groups in Kharghar six months ago. On January 8, its board gave a final approval for the construction of another 3,590 houses for low-income groups.

The lottery could be held in 18 months, while the houses will be ready in three years, said officials.
