5 arrested for kidnapping, raping minor
The Kurla railway police, on Wednesday, arrested five persons including three minors for the rape, kidnapping and abetment of crime in the case of a 14-year-old girl.

The Kurla railway police, on Wednesday, arrested five persons including three minors for the rape, kidnapping and abetment of crime in the case of a 14-year-old girl.
The incident took place on June 29 when the girl eloped with her 21-year-old boyfriend Prakash Rathod. According to the police, the victims father approached them saying that his daughter went missing from Kurla terminus while they were waiting for a train to Uttar Pradesh. He named Rathod as the victim had eloped with him twice earlier.
The police laid a trap at Rathod’s friend's residence in Mumbra. “The victim was raped on four occasions during her stay here,” said senior police inspector Shivaji Dhumal.
