“A vegetable seller informed the police about the murder,” said Subhash Patil, inspector of Mahatma Fule police station. “When he came to work, a foul smell was coming out of Shukla’s room. The police rushed to the spot and found that Shukla was strangulated.”

“The family of the deceased stays in Rambaug and he was living alone in the chawl room,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police Bhujangrao Shinde. “We have started collecting information, but we are still in the primary stage of investigation. We will able to talk about it once the investigation is complete.”
