9-yr-old raped in Vikhroli

A 16-year-old boy was arrested by the Parksite police station on Friday for allegedly raping a nine-year-old girl at an under-construction site in Vikhroli (West) on Wednesday.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested by the Parksite police station on Friday for allegedly raping a nine-year-old girl at an under-construction site in Vikhroli (West) on Wednesday.

According to the police, the accused and the victim’s father worked at the construction site, situated in the Kalpataru area of Vikhroli (West). The victim and her family lived in a shed set up in the premises of the construction site.

Around 4.30pm on Wednesday, the accused lured the victim with a chocolate and took her to the fourth floor of the building and raped her.

“We arrested the accused on the charge of rape. Since he is a minor, he was sent to the Dongri Children’s Home thereafter,” said L Bhure, senior inspector, Parksite police station.
