At 36.7° C, Friday was city's hottest day in Nov in 7 yrs
On Friday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 36.7 degrees Celsius, highest in November in 7 years. The last time temperature crossed the 36 degrees Celsius mark in November was on November 17, 2004, when it was 36.8 degrees Celsius.

According to the weather bureau forecast, maximum temperature is expected to touch 37 degrees Celsius in the next two days.
“Two successive depressions over the Arabian Sea over the past fortnight have disturbed the normal wind pattern resulting in northerly winds in the region. This accounts for the above normal maximum and minimum temperatures over the city. The depressions have now dissipated and the temperature can be expected to be normal in a day or two,” said a note issued by the Regional Meteorological Centre, Colaba.
And though winter is yet to set in, minimum temperature in the city has begun to dip. On Friday, the minimum temperature was 20.7 degrees Celsius.
