Bizman held for assaulting TV actor

A 22-year-old TV actor registered a case of assault and criminal intimidation against her businessman friend who was arrested on Sunday night. The businessman has been identified as Aditya Shrivastav, 28, a resident of SVP Nagar in Andheri (W).

In her complaint, Reshma Shaikh said Shrivastav was a good friend, but had started becoming possessive of her off late and picked quarrels with her when any man called.

Kalpana Gadekar, inspector of Versova police station, said, “Shrivastav was arrested on charges of assault and criminal intimidation. He has been released on bail.”

According to police sources, Shrivastav came to Shaikh’s flat at Sri Krishna Society in SVP Nagar, Andheri (W).

The duo got into an argument and he allegedly bashed her up and threatened her with harm. Payal Singh, Shaikh’s landlady said, “From what I heard, the two had a fight on Friday too.”
