Bus crushes 8-yr-old

A BEST bus driver was arrested for causing death due to rash and negligent driving. Sagar Landge (23) rammed the vehicle into an eight-year-old boy Prashant Vaishya, a resident of unit 31, Aarey Colony around 1.30 pm on Thursday.

Sagar Landge (23) rammed the vehicle into an eight-year-old boy Prashant Vaishya, a resident of unit 31, Aarey Colony around 1.30 pm on Thursday.

The police said Vaishya, a Class 3 student, was walking from unit walking from unit 16 towards unit 31 in Aarey Colony when a BEST bus hit him.

The driver continued driving due to which the boy came under the wheel of the bus and was crushed to death. “The boy was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead,” said senior police inspector Laxman Tonpe of Aarey sub police station.
