CBI can silence Mulayam, Mayawati, but not me: Modi

Addressing the party faithful who had flocked to the airport to receive him, disrupting traffic on the Western Express Highway for hours, Modi said: “The CBI can silence Mulayam [Singh] or Mayawati, but not me.”

In campaign mode, Modi warned a gathering at the Bharat Diamond Bourse at theBKC, that people who had welcomed him would be on the radar of the I-T department.
“They will watch the video of this event and trouble those who shook hands with me… Despite the abuse and criticism, people continue to love and support me. I may have certain weaknesses, but people never doubted my intentions,” he said.

Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray and BJP senior leader Gopinath Munde were also present on stage, but they did not make speeches.

Renewing his attack on the prime minister, Modi claimed Manmohan Singh had failed the people. “People thought he was an economist and without any blot of corruption. But the bubble has burst now.”

After being weighed against silver at the function, Modi said the money would be used to construct the tallest statute of Sardar Patel at the Narmada dam.
Later in the evening, the leader also shared his views on brand India with a high-profile gathering of business leaders, international advertising gurus and marketing experts at a five-star hotel in Bandra.
