CCTV footage from Dadar station may help track down four robbers

The footage captured by a CCTV camera at Dadar station may help the Shivaji Park police track down the four accused, who robbed Rs 6.8 lakh from the employees of Brinks Arya, a private security company.

The police have also prepared sketches of two of the four accused. “The complainant Atul Bandawitekar has identified a person boarding a Borivli-bound train from platform number one at Dadar, holding a bag similar to the one in which he was carrying cash. We cannot be completely sure but we are investigating the lead,” said an officer from the Shivaji Park police station.

The Maruti Esteem that the accused used was found abandoned near Dadar station.

On Saturday, the four men robbed the employees of Brinks Arya, who were carrying cash collected from BEST depots at Worli and Dadar, at Senapati Bapat Road.
