The police would have had clinching visual evidence in the Amboli double murder case, had the closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera above the main entrance of the Amboli Bar and Kitchen been functional.

During the investigation, the police found the CCTV camera to be non-functional. “Had the camera been working, we would have got footage of the incident, which could have become clear visual evidence against the accused,” said an officer from the DN Nagar police station, requesting anonymity.

However, the officer maintained that the police still have enough evidence against the accused by way of the 14 eyewitnesses and the murder weapons.
