As the HC had stayed the proceedings against the Oberois and five others, the non-bailable warrants (NBWs) issued by the Mazgaon court will not be executed. The NBWs against them were issued for not appearing in a case filed by Jawaharlal Agicha.

The firm owned by them, Oberoi Ltd, had borrowed Rs 3.9 crore from the financier.

The loan amount was paid in two cheques issued by the Oberoi family. While one cheque was encashed in January 2010, the other one bounced in October 2010.
