Mumbai mayor Sunil Prabhu refused permission to opposition leader Dyanraj Nikam to make a speech, after the Congress walked out in protest against the absence of municipal commissioner during the discussion on the civic body's budget.

The entire opposition protested inside the house in order to prevent the Sena corporator Yamini Jadhav from making her speech on the budget.

A few opposition members even tried to switch off the mike. The civic budget will once again be put up for the discussion on Thursday and is likely to get cleared on the same day.
