The latest crime report, which lists the various offences registered and detected between January and November 2010, reveals that most crimes — including murders, robberies and rapes — registered an increase in offences committed, when compared to corresponding figures for 2009.
“This is because we are encouraging free and easy registration of offences with local police stations,” said Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Himanshu Roy.
