“The low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal has moved from Madhya Pradesh to Rajasthan. So, it will not rain as much as compared to Saturday and Sunday,” said R.V. Sharma, deputy director general, India Meteorological Department.

The forecast for the next two days is intermittent rain or showers. On Monday, Colaba received 21.3 mm rain and Santacruz received 18 mm till 9.30 pm.

Apart from the low-pressure area, trough of the west coast and strong pressure area accompanied by strong winds over the west coast of the Arabian Sea was responsible for the heavy rainfall.
