The donor’s family consented to donate her organs. The heart was ferried through a 25km green corridor which was created between Parel and Mulund. Within 20 minutes the heart reached Fortis Hospital in Mulund. The heart was transplanted into a 50-year-old woman. The liver was transplanted into a 56-year-old woman from Borivli. This is the 23rd cadaver donation in the city, according to the Zonal Transplant Coordination Committee.
