Five motorcycles torched in Antop Hill, cops suspect rivalry

Five motorcycles that were parked in Kokri Aggar area, Antop Hill, were set on fire between 3am and 4am, police said. A Hero Honda Shine, Active, two Bajaj Pulsar bikes and a Hero Honda CD- 100 were found charred.

Local residents doused the flames, after which the police were notified.

Police are questioning local residents and owners of the bikes to ascertain if a feud between different groups led to the incident. “We are investigating if the incident is fallout of rivalry between people from two different areas or whether it is an act of mischief,” said a police officer from Antop Hill police station. Police are also looking for witnesses and have registered a case against unknown persons.
