A hoax call threatening to blow up Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) railway station in south Mumbai today sent the police into a tizzy, with searches being conducted at the station for over five hours but nothing suspicious was found.
A hoax call threatening to blow up Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) railway station in south Mumbai today sent the police into a tizzy, with searches being conducted at the station for over five hours but nothing suspicious was found.
Policemen including from Government Railway Police and Bomb Disposal and Detection Squad (BDDS) conducted searches for over five hours at the railway station after the police control room received the threat call at 7 AM.
"The caller threatened to blow up the CST railway station using an explosive. Subsequently, police teams of different units have carried out searches at every nook and corner," said GRP Commissioner Tukaram Chavan.
However, nothing suspicious was found during searches, he said, adding efforts were on to trace the caller.
