Two days after a Mumbai resident cried foul about two Jet Airways wheelchair attendants who tried to fleece his elderly relatives, the airline sacked the duo.
The attendant took away the wheelchairs and asked the senior citizen couple to take the aerobridge when their demands were turned down.
“Based on the guest complaint, we carried out an internal investigation and have terminated the services of the two attendants who did not follow the prescribed Jet Airways process of handling guest requirements,” said a Jet Airways spokesperson.
According to airport sources the prompt action was possible because of the CCTV footage that captured the incident.
The Mumbai International Airport Limited had also initiated a parallel probe.
