A senior crime branch official said that Jundal, along with the 10 terrorists and other LeT members, were shown the videos which Headley had taken, before the attack. He said though Jundal did not meet Headley, he learnt in the terror camp that the videos had been taken by the Pakistan-born US citizen on the instruction of his LeT bosses.

Jundal said he was the only Indian present in the Karachi control room during the November 26, 2008 attack. However crime branch officials are verifying this information as they suspect other operatives with an Indian background like Rahil Sheikh and Zulfikar Fayyaz Kagzi, who were senior operatives in the LeT hierarchy, were also present there.

Senior crime branch officials have refused to confirm whether they had been able to establish the involvement of any locals in the 26/11 attack.

“Everyone was allotted tasks, and information was given on a need-to-know basis,” the official said, adding Jundal had told the crime branch he was selected because he had taught the 10 terrorists to speak Hindi.

Jundal has also revealed that he had been given the responsibility of ensuring the destruction of the Chabad house (Jewish settlement) at Colaba. The two long calls made by Jundal to the terrorists who had laid a siege to Chabad house, verifies this claim. The official, however, added they are still trying to verify Jundal’s claim that he was present in the control room during the entire 69-hour siege.
