Advocates in southern Maharashtra have decided to submit a fresh proposal demanding a division bench of the Bombay high court at Kolhapur to the President, to the Union law minister and to the Supreme Court.

This in view of the inordinate delay in responding to the demand, which has already been submitted and for which agitations were periodically held over the course of 25 years.

In a recent meeting of advocates from various districts in this region it was decided to appeal to the President and other concerned dignitaries in the Union government.
