Maharashtra Information Commissioner Ramanand Tiwari, whose son owns a flat in the controversial Adarsh Housing Society, has submitted his leave application to the Governor, amid demand by the Opposition for his ouster.

"Tiwari had submitted leave application to the Governor, who is yet to take any decision on the matter," a Raj Bhavan spokesperson said.

Shiv Sena leader Subhash Desai has said that the government should sack Tiwari, a former IAS officer, for his alleged involvement in the Adarsh scam.
