After fixing the responsibility on 37 engineers, the department has decided to conduct an inquiry against the other 20 engineers and they will be punished once a probe report is submitted.

After Fadnavis granted permission in November 2014 to conduct an open inquiry against former PWD minister Chhagan Bhujbal for the alleged scam in construction of the Maharashtra Sadan, the state’s guest house in Delhi, ACB officers had conducted a raid on a room at the state guest house in Bandra.

Searches were also conducted at PWD offices in Nashik and 37 engineers were found guilty for dereliction of duty in the primary probe.
