Mahim kidnap: Cops locate accused’s hideout

Police probing the kidnapping of a three-month-old from Mahim on March 26 got a breakthrough after the police narrowed down the locality where the accused are holed up with the infant.

Police probing the kidnapping of a three-month-old from Mahim on March 26 got a breakthrough after the police narrowed down the locality where the accused are holed up with the infant. Investigations have also revealed that there is a couple involved in the abduction along with the main accused – Jaggu.

An officer from Mahim police said, “Based on a tip-off, we learnt that the three accused had been hiding in a rented flat in Thane. But, a day before we went to arrest them, the trio left the house.”

When police questioned the owner about the occupants, the description of one of the accused matched that of Jaggu, the officer said.
