Patil, who was accompanied by his party workers and the police, alleged that autorickshaw drivers and motorcyclists in the locality had been complaining that the manager, Deepak Daroga, adulterated petrol and diesel with kerosene.

Patil has filed a police complaint against the owner of the petrol pump.

The police, who were mum about the assault on Daroga, said they had sent petrol samples testing and action would be taken after the reports were received.
