MNS lodges FIR against AIB’s Tanmay Bhat

Party’s information technology cell is working on an online campaign to force Bhat to remove the video

The Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) lodged an FIR against ALL India Bakchod’s (AIB) Tanmay Bhat at Shivaji Park police station after he posted a video of a mock conversation between legends Lata Mangeshkar and Sachin Tendulkar.

Its information technology cell is working on an online campaign to force Bhat to remove the video.

The video posted by Bhat on his Facebook page titled “Sachin V‎s Lata civil war” shows them arguing over who is better “Sachin or Virat Kohli”.

It also shows strong expletives being used between the two, which has angered many, including political outfits such as the MNS.

“We will not tolerate insults of both Bharat Ratna’s whose contribution to the world is immense. We will lodge an FIR against Bhat,” said MNS leader Avinash Abhyankar had said earlier.

Apart from the MNS, actors like Anupam Kher, Riteish Deshmukh and Celina Jaitley, have all come down heavily on the video.

Earlier, the AIB was caught in a controversy when it staged a live show featuring actors Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in 2014, which was condemned by many as “vulgar”.
