Colleges usually begin issuing forms a day after the state board declares the HSC results. The results were out on Tuesday but on Wednesday many colleges were still waiting for the circular from Mumbai University giving the official nod to sell forms.
“We couldn’t start selling the forms because we just got the circular. We will begin the process on Friday,” said Dr Harsha Mehta, principal of SIES College at Sion.
A few like Guru Nanak Khalsa College at Matunga and NM College at Vile Parle began the process. “There was a crowd on the first day and it will pick up from Friday,” said NM College vice-principal Sangita Kher.
This year, HSC results were declared earlier than previous years. But as students will get the copy of their marksheet on May 31, the early announcement of results may not make a difference. “Unless they have their statement of marks students can’t submit the forms,” said Dr Kavita Rege, principal of Sathaye College, Vile Parle.
