Yadav, a gold medal winner in the 2010 Commonwealth Games, is the only Mumbaiite to participate in the London Olympics.

His house in Yadav Nagar was in danger of collapsing after a landslide closeby recently. “It is not a proud thing for us to see an Olympian’s house in such a condition,” said Rahul Shewale, standing committee chairman. A special request will be sent to civic chief Sitaram Kunte.
