Hinting that Munde was not indispensable, he said, “When Bhujbal left the Shiv Sena, because he was not made the opposition leader what difference did it make? When I kicked Rane out of the party, he was an important saffron leader.

Did it affect us in any way? Then why will it affect us now?”

When asked if he will talk to Senior BJP leaders LK Advani and Nitin Gadkari to retain Munde, Thackeray said that he did not wish to interfere in BJP’s issues. “ I will not appreciate anyone commenting on the Shiv Sena and so I would not want to interfere with their issues. But, if Munde felt that he should have discussed issues with me, he would have come. The doors of Matoshree are always open for him.”
